The 70th Anniversary of VE-Day (Victory in Europe Day) is right around the corner. We are excited about our commemorative event called the VE-Day Roll Out.

· The event will be held on Sat. May 9th, starting at Thanksgiving Point and will route through Utah County for just under 50 miles.
· Convoy will depart Thanksgiving Point at 10:30 AM, Lunch break at will be at the pavilions in City Park on Orem Center Street. (fast food restaurants are nearby but most participation will be bringing their own lunch) Lunch will not be provided this year, sorry.
· All military vehicles and Classic period Vehicles are welcome to participate (any classic jeep especially).
· There is no fee, this is not a formally "orgainzed" event. Just a bunch of mutually interested friends.
· You should carry private insurance if you bring a vehicle, there is no event insurance.
· I will have event stickers for this years participants (Image attached), these are available for $2.00 each, limited number available.
· We are hoping to have \lead and end convoy vehicles will be provided by the National Guard as we did last year but have yet to hear back from them.
· You can leave the convoy at any time (example-if you happen to live close to the convoy route)
· This is a family event; please bring veterans, wives, kids, boyfriends, girlfriends and friends to ride along!
· There is no cost to participate.
· You know your vehicle best, come prepared with it well maintained. Please bring basic tools, oil, water, spare tire etc.
· We will have chase vehicles provided if someone breaks down someone will be able to help or get you back to your own car.
· We encourage you to wear the correct period uniform or civilian clothes for appropriate time frame of your vehicle.
· We are looking for a volunteer to film and document the convoy.
· To get up to date information check out this blog or our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ddayrollout
· Please use good judgement and caution if bringing firearms or replicas to decorate your vehicle. PLEASE, NO POINTING THEM AT ANYTHING ALONG THE ROUTE!

Whats different about this year’s roll-out?
Route is changed, we hope there will be less traffic and turns.
Route is shorter, just under 50 miles
Convenient staging location for participants coming from northern and southern Utah.
Other eras and types of military vehicles and civilian stock period vehicles are welcome, if you know any period cruisers that might enjoy participating, please forward this email and invite them.
